When we were warned that the historic town of Tombstone was a tourist trap, we should have listened. That, in a nutshell, describes our short-lived experience in the town that – like Old Tucson studios – looked like it had been plucked straight from a western. Boasting attractions spanning from gunfights re-enacting the infamous O.K Corral shootout to museums dedicated to famous outlaws, practically everything came with an entry fee – which we decided was not worth the cost. Panama Canal
Got to the Miraflores Lock early this morning in the hope of seeing a ship going through the locks. Unfortunately, on arrival there was the last ship of the morning already in the last section - so not much to witness for the US$40 paid.

Veramonte Vineyard
Visited this gorgeous vineyard today as part of our tour to Valparaiso, where Mum enthusiastically participated in the wine tasting (see below). We also met a lovely local, Carolina, who we plan to meet up with next year in Berlin!
