Someone’s been getting into the Pisco Sour ….
A pisco sour is an alcoholic cocktail of Peruvian origin that is typical of the cuisines from Chile and Peru. The drink’s name comes from pisco, which is its base liquor, and the cocktail term sour, in reference to sour citrus juice and sweetener components.

Explored the vibrant streets of Valparaíso, which are covered in beautiful street art and colourful Italian and German-style buildings. Absolutely in love with the aesthetic of this place!

Veramonte Vineyard
Visited this gorgeous vineyard today as part of our tour to Valparaiso, where Mum enthusiastically participated in the wine tasting (see below). We also met a lovely local, Carolina, who we plan to meet up with next year in Berlin!

Parque Bicentenario
Took a walk through Parque Bicentenario this morning (approx 2km return trip) and aside from the pics below, saw the still snow-capped Andes in the distance. Unfortunately unable to get a decent pic from where we were. Have decided to take a tour tomorrow to Valparaiso and Vina del Mar (seaside towns). Watch this space …

One, two, three ….
I was feeling VERY proud of my resolution to exercise calm and restraint whilst away on our travels. When I: Didn’t say a word to the seat hog next to me on the Brisbane to Sydney flight – not even when he jumped up out of his (middle) seat and pushed passed me (aisle seat) to get in front of me when getting off the plane. Did NOT get snippy on arrival at Brisbane hotel to be told that parking would be an additional $40 for the night. Did NOT lose my cool when we were waiting patiently in line for 30 minutes to check in and some IDIOT is…
