Hola New Mexico
From snowy mountains to rocky hikes and white desert sand dunes, so far New Mexico has been a crazy mashup of scenery.

Tombstone & Pillsbury Winery
When we were warned that the historic town of Tombstone was a tourist trap, we should have listened. That, in a nutshell, describes our short-lived experience in the town that – like Old Tucson studios – looked like it had been plucked straight from a western. Boasting attractions spanning from gunfights re-enacting the infamous O.K Corral shootout to museums dedicated to famous outlaws, practically everything came with an entry fee – which we decided was not worth the cost. We considered getting lunch at one of the old fashioned saloons, but soon decided otherwise when we were left waiting in a queue with nobody offering any service or time frame…

The Windmill Winery
On the move again ... another day on the road driving from Sedona to Florence (Arizona) and another night at a Harvest Host venue.
-
Saguaro National Park & Old Tucson
First of all ... it's pronounced "suh-WAA-row" Secondly it's a large cactus with arms that is only found in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona and Mexico. You're welcome!
-
Sedona
Did not expect to see the dramatic scenery of Sedona located right on the doorstep of the City.

Route 66 – Arizona
Our first, albeit short, trip along Route 66 - hope to travel on it more in Texas. Some interesting places along this little stretch.
-
Mojave Desert
Drove from Vegas to Mojave Desert, passing many Joshua Trees (a first for us) and after a couple of hours of a jarring, jolting ride down dirt “roads” that scrambled our brains and re-arranged our internal organs, we eventually arrived at our spot for the night. No hook ups (electricity & water) but a very beautiful spot to spend a couple of days.

Viva Las Vegas
Retracing our steps through Sin City, the City That Never Sleeps, the Marriage Capital of the World, the City of Second Chances, or as it is more commonly known - Las Vegas - was, to put it simply, an interesting experience, though perhaps not AS interesting as I anticipated it to be.

Death Valley
Deep in Death Valley we hit rock bottom and were we salty about it!

Bakersfield – Panamint Springs
In transit for a couple of days en-route to Death Valley. One night in Bakersfield and one night in Panamint Springs.
