Monkeys & Mangroves
On my walk into “town” on Friday – came across these Howler Monkeys … not very good footage of monkeys as they were high up in trees. Videos are more to give you an idea of the noise they make (somewhat startling when you’re taking a short cut through shoulder-height grass). Hard to believe that such a racket can come from such small monkeys.
Later in the morning, we went on a 2 hour tour of the mangroves, saw about half a dozen different types of birds and one baby crocodile in the water. Thankfully mumma-croc didn’t materialise – apparently because she only takes care of her baby for a month (us humans are doing it all wrong) π
Unfortunately only a couple of bird pics and none of the croc, ‘cos they weren’t up close and we don’t have a lens like this guy …

Monkeys sound a lot like pigs, nice to see some different birds.
