Suspension Bridge Hike
As Axl Rose from Guns N’ Roses once wisely said: “Welcome to the Jungle”.
Got up at 7:00 this morning aiming to make a last minute booking for a hike along the Pipeline trail – but unfortunately, there were no availabilities for the next few days. However, the company next door offered a suspension bridge hike, and within two minutes we were seated on a safari bus, making our way to some place in Palo Alto. And by “some place” I mean this:
The same company also offered coffee tours, but we decided we didn’t really want to spend money to have heart palpitations and bad breath. Yeah, I said it!
Let’s play a game called “Spot the Hummingbird”! Here’s an example:
Now onto the harder photos – have fun and good luck!
Giggle of the Day: when the tour guide pointed out some lichen, explaining its natural abilities as an insect repellent and encouraging us to swipe our finger across it and smell it ourselves, mum inexplicably tasted it instead!
Turns out it’s tasteless!

Wow! Wow! Wow! Just love the hummingbirds, and those broads abroad 😉 Belated Christmas Greetings & Early HNY your two weeks gone already feels like 2 months this end!

Thanks Pip – Happy New Year to you too! Those hummingbirds are too beautiful for words – saw them in Panama City too. They are absolutely TINY – photo’s don’t really show how little they are, and they move SO fast. That little chap (?) was super friendly and brave so Jarrah was able to get a few pics.

Beautiful hummingbirds. Had a good laugh over the lichen. Loving the photos.
Sandy
Yeah – you can laugh, but who was laughing today when the mozzies left me alone but bit Jarrah? 🙂 That lichen is working wonders from the inside!

Finally caught up. Wow Panama looked amazing!!!!

Hello
Looks like you are having fun! Don’t they have some amazing zip wires in Panama? That would give you great photo opportunity!
Sandy
Hi Jono – Yes, the place we were at also had a zipline course – quite extensive and high above the trees. A bit tricky to take pics when you’re hurtling through the air at high speed though 🙂 Also – we’re on a bit of a “budget” given how long we’ll be away and prices here are not cheap. And the last time I went on a zipline (Vegas), I kept spinning in circles LOL!!

Every shot is fantastic, Jarrah. Who is the woman constantly two steps ahead of you?
Sandy
That would be the financer 🙂
