Ciclovia Cintra Costera
Well!! What a day we’ve had!! First up – headed out on foot to find the bike hire shop (went through some interesting parts of town). Once there – became celebrities (again! – ho-hum). Young man working there asked where we were from (of course we said Australia) and asked if he could take a pic for their instagram – sure! See his instagram post below.
Fast forward to an hour later, cycling along the cycling track when … believe it or not – only 6 days into our travels and a mere 2 days in Panama – I’ve met someone!! Totally in LOVE! Yes, ME – Sandy. I kid you not, who would have guessed it? It started when a gorgeous young man (ok – maybe not SO gorgeous) blew me a kiss and then shouted out that he loved me (no, he wasn’t blind, drunk or on drugs!). Will keep you posted on wedding plans. Watch this space for pics.
Some pics from the cycle path below – was somewhat disappointing, a few rather unpleasant smells at certain bits and whilst a lovely safe, new track with some pretty gardens – nothing much of interest. Did get some pics of the city of Panama (the “new” part) and despite the ominous clouds – made it home without getting soaked.
But that’s not all …. after a quick cool down in our penthouse room (oh, … did I not mention that before?), we headed off to the Centro Cultural de EspaƱa to their roof top terrace for some lunch. Rather a flash place with flash prices but with some lovely views.
