Bristol & Castle Combe
Headed to Bristol for the day, mainly in search of some original Banksy works, but also to have a walk around town to see some of the sights.
Bristol has lots of lovely colourful houses especially around the harbour area and we also came across a small Christmas fair but it was pretty much deserted, even though lock-down 2.0 had ended.
Were disappointed to only find a couple of Banksy’s artworks and that they have been defaced. However, THE most devastating news of all … a day AFTER we went to Bristol, we found out that Banksy had been in Bristol on the SAME bloody day as us, creating a new artwork!!! Could have passed him in the street – but we’ll never know!
En route back to Banbury, we went via Castle Combe – considered to be one of the most gorgeous of villages in the Cotswolds and despite it being a rainy day, it didn’t disappoint. Really quaint, quintessential England – love it.
However, we only braved the rain long enough to walk the length of the main street and back again and then headed for home.

Beautiful buildings despite the rain! What’s the temperature like? It looks quite cool …

Looks very quaint and nice yeah. Kinda wondering why this would be a Banksy Hotspot?

Because that is where Banksy is originally from (Bristol, not Castle Combe) … where his first works appeared …??
