Christmas Eve
If you don’t want to hear/see about food … skip this one!
Decided to treat ourselves seeing as we are in a “strange” country and all alone (hope you feel sorry for us??), so made a last minute booking at The Rock Restaurant. And whilst MUCH more pricey than I’d ordinarily spend – it was well worth it.
Restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas, staff were both friendly and very professional and the food was absolutely gorgeous … please forgive us for the pics of food – it was delicioso!!
And, just in case we were not stuffed enough after 5 courses, they brought us HUGE marshmallows on long sticks at the end of our meal to roast at the big fire pit in their gardens – right next to the rushing river. A good time was had by all (two of us) on Christmas Eve local time and Christmas day AEST.
Jarrah’s courses: fresh tuna cerviche, trout carpaccio, beef tenderloin with grilled bone marrow, mashed potatoes and asparagus, and apple tartlet with ice-cream

Looks absolutely fabulous, glad you had a good time. We ate ourselves stupid as well, don’t feel in the least bit guilty, only happens once a year.
